Decently made version of tetris, although the lack of t-spins was a bit of a disappointment. I also wish there were a way to rebind the controls, my muscle memory was being thrown off.
Art was nice and the concept was very fun, It'd be even better if you were rewarded for combos or rapid play. I'd absolutely sink hours into a more refined version of this.
hehe yay this was fun! a good implementation of tetris and the spritework is very nice
Is a downloadable version possible? I would love to have this on the side when offline!
I have a flight to catch today, but I'll see about making one tomorrow :)
Oh but ofc no rush at all! Thank you!
Added a download for windows. Hope it works!
It does! Thank you so much!
A fun riff on a classic, delightful little game.
Heh. This is quite cute. Though it raises to a lot of questions about how parts of several people only translate into one kobold... X)
I'm liking the TFTRIS
This was a pretty good game. I’ve never gotten to level 20 before, so speed–depending on how close to the original you want to implement–could be reconfigured slightly. I’m curious about the humans, dragons, and the little faces on the blocks themselves. I tried lining up 3 little faces to see if something happens, but I never could.
If you decided to continue working on this after the jam, consider adding a ghost piece that shows where the piece will land. That always helped me a lot. One other thing–When you add menus or a pause feature, would you consider adding alernate controls? I played a lot of one version, and for me, the up button was to rotate the block. Other than that, it’s great! I had a blast.
When you said it was a little buggy when rotating near other pieces–I didn’t witness that. I’m not too familiar with how Godot does things, but in JavaScript, I would assume that each square (not block) is considered an object, and find a way to make the block as a whole part of the background. Not sure if that makes you think of anything or not. That was my first thought, though.
This is adorable and i always love a good Tetris Port.
i'd love if the lanes the block was is falling in were highlighted, i found myself being annoyed at times at being one lane off of quickdropping what would otherwise be a perfectly aligned block
Lots of fun had with this tho :D
Kept getting tripped up by forgetting SRS rotation system (or any rotation system with wall kicks, it seems?) isn't implemented here, but otherwise pretty solid! I tried to do a 2-wide and then royally messed myself up, and spent the rest of the run trying to save it, lmao.
I sure hope the SRS is working. I actually spent all weekend trying to implement it |3
Let's be real, you made this because you wanted an easy way to play tetris on your computer without ads. :u
But jokes aside this was fun, proper tetris! Loved makin cute kobolds a little too much instead of making handsome dragons hahaha.
That was fun! I love tetris and combining it with tf is such a novel idea, it's really cool how it was implemented! I tried doing tspins and even attempted a tspin triple but it seems the rotation system doesnt allows it which, its fine. In fact, it works in almost everything it should work with. I would've loved to see something done with all this army that I've amassed xD
Oooh, I like the graphics overhaul, this new version really adds a lot to the experience!
This is a really nice version of tetris, I really like the theming.
13 Tetrises (full dragons) is pretty good.
Aside from the bugs with the piece rotation as already known, I'd probably have the game recognise that a key is being held down just to help reduce the amount of key presses if you're dropping and sliding pieces across.
I'd also like an outline of where the piece is going to drop, but aside from that, this is better than Ubisoft's attempt at a tetris game, and certainly a great start.
its really nice i had fun :3
i could only get 2 big dragons but am not very good at tetris anyway haha
